The Morakniv Companion Heavy Duty is a powerful tool for bushcrafters, hunters, and outdoorsmen with an extra-large ergonomic handle that has a patterned, high-friction grip making it comfortable to hold and easy to handle. The Companion Heavy Duty features a 4.1-inch (104 mm) blade of high carbon steel that is preferred in applications that demand durability. When the high carbon steel is combined with the classic Scandi grind it allows the knife to be easily re-sharpened when needed. The blade’s blunter edge angle of 27 degrees allows for maximum sharpness retention. The Companion Heavy Duty’s 3-layer injection molding and extra thick blade will perform well during high impact usage such as batoning or cutting wood. When used in wet applications, the blade should be dried after use to avoid blade corrosion and may exhibit a patina or natural discoloration over time through normal usage. You should also clean and oil your blade regularly, especially after it comes in contact with acidic foods like oranges. Includes a color-matching plastic sheath with belt clip. Overall length: 8.8 inch (224 mm); Blade length: 4.1 inches (104 mm); Blade thickness: 0.125 inch (3.2 mm); Weight w/ sheath: 4.8 oz. (135 g). Limited lifetime manufacturer’s warranty. Made in Sweden.
